You may notice some similarities between TPunk #3442 and the popular Cryptopunks, but they’re not the same. The TPunk collection is only one of the several knock-offs that drew inspiration from Cryptopunk’s success. Interestingly, even though the majority of TPunks don’t sell for much, a few of them, like the 3442 were widely successful. TPunk #3442 sold for 120 million TRX which is equivalent to $10.5 million in August 2021. Tron’s co-founder, Justin Sun, bought the piece. He subsequently donated tit to APENFT, a Tron-based artwork tokenizing project.
